OMNI SAIGON HOTEL WELCOMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Mr. Henk Meyknecht has been appointed General Manager of Omni Saigon Hotel succeeding Anthony O'Neill.

Meyknecht is a seasoned hotelier with 20 years of experience having worked in various parts of Asia, Middle East, United States and Europe. He was most recently with Furama's Grand Pacific Hotel in Bangkok. Prior to Thailand, he was in China with Six Continents hotels as General Manager of Holiday Inn Shanghai and Holiday Inn Dalian and at Equatorial Qingdao.

Meyknecht is a native of The Netherlands and received his Hotel Management degree at the Hotelschool Maastricht. He took courses in Business Administration at the University of Hong Kong and Marketing at Cornell University in New York.

Omni Saigon Hotel is managed by the Marco Polo Hotel Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Wharf (Holding) Limited. Marco Polo Hotels has a portfolio of seven properties in Asia - The Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, The Marco Polo Gateway and The Marco Polo Prince in Hong Kong; The Marco Polo in Xiamen, The Marco Polo in Beijing, China; and the Marco Polo in Davao, Philippines including Omni Saigon Hotel.
