AMERICAN AIRLINES buyAAmiles (sm) AND giftAAmiles (sm) PROGRAMS NOW AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE

Using the buyAAmiles program, AAdvantage members may purchase up to 15,000 miles per calendar year for their AAdvantage account. Members can go to www.aa.com/memberguide, then select the "purchase miles" link to access the buyAAmiles program, or go directly to buyaamiles.points.com.

The giftAAmiles program is a unique way for AAdvantage members to give the gift of travel and other rewards. Each member may receive up to 15,000 AAdvantage miles as a gift. These miles are in addition to the miles a member may purchase through the buyAAmiles program. The giftAAmiles program can also be accessed in the same manner on AA.com.

AAdvantage miles are sold through the buyAAmiles program and the giftAAmiles program at the rate of 2.75 cents per mile USD, plus applicable taxes and fees for purchases up to 5,000 miles, and 2.5 cents per mile USD plus applicable taxes and fees for purchases between 6,000 and 15,000 miles. Purchases can be made in 1,000 mile increments and are posted to the AAdvantage account within 72 hours. Each transaction incurs a $25 USD processing fee.

Both the buyAAmiles and the giftAAmiles programs are another way for AAdvantage members worldwide to quickly add miles to their accounts and reach the awards they desire.
