EMARAT LINK LAUNCHES SUMMER BOOST FOR PASSENGERS ON NEW DUBAI-FUJAIRAH SERVICE

17 June 2002

Emarat Link, the Gulf region’s only amphibious commercial aircraft operator, has introduced an attractive summer package for passengers travelling on its newly-launched twice-daily flights between Fujairah and Dubai.

Effective until the end of August, Emarat Link is offering a special return fare of Dhs500 for two or more passengers travelling together.

Those starting their return trip in Fujairah will also receive vouchers giving them 10% discount on food in the Lakeview or Boardwalk restaurants of the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

Passengers originating in Dubai will receive vouchers offering 10% discount on food and beverage at the Fujairah Hilton Hotel, and on the hotel’s Hiltonia recreation facilities.

“This is the first of the special promotions we’re planning to make our Dubai-Fujairah service even more attractive, and give customers outstanding value for money,” said Thomas Bommer, Emarat Link’s General Manager.

“The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, and the Fujairah Hilton Hotel, are, for many reasons, ideal venues for passengers to visit, whether they’re travelling on business, or leisure.”

Adding to the value of the summer offer, Emarat Link is again providing passengers with a chauffeured drop-off service at the end of their journey in Dubai or Fujairah.

The new Dubai-Fujairah service, operated by brand new Cessna Caravan seaplanes, has quickly been hailed by senior airline and civil aviation department officials as a welcome addition to passenger transport in the UAE.

After establishing a valuable link for business and leisure travellers between Fujairah and the northern Emirates, and Dubai, Emarat Link’s next step will be the introduction shortly of a shuttle service from the Abu Dhabi Corniche to Dubai Creek, and more expansion is set to follow.

The sight of Emarat Link’s Cessna Caravan seaplanes taking of and landing on Dubai Creek is already a familiar one, as the company has been operating a selection of 45-minute, 20-minute and ten-minute sightseeing tours in and around Dubai for several months.

The Emarat Link flights take off daily from Dubai Creek at 8.30am and 3.20pm, and from Fujairah International Airport at 9.40am and 4.30pm. Flying time is just 25 minutes.

In Dubai, Emarat Link offers quick and easy departures from its unique floating terminal opposite Deira City Centre next to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
