Mr. Khampi Suwanarat, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of Michael P. Tiplady as the new General Manager of Dusit Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Managed by Dusit, this modern deluxe 321-room property just recently celebrated its first anniversary as the group's first hotel in the Middle East. Dusit's experience and expertise in the hospitality industry dates back over 50 years. It is the unique warmth of Thai hospitality and service that truly distinguishes the Dusit brand from the competition. The Dusit Dubai is the group's 10th Dusit property, apart from 10 Royal Princess Hotels in The Dusit Group portfolio of 'Royal Princess Hotels and Resorts.

"I am indeed fortunate to have the opportunity of working in such a unique five star property as Dusit Dubai. It has the distinction of being the first of its kind in the Middle East and the epitome of Thai hospitality, made world renowned by Dusit Hotels & Resorts.

"I see my role not only as that of an ambassador of Dusit Dubai but also representative of Dusit Hotels & Resorts in terms of protecting the interests of both parties, not only raising standards of performance and guest expectations, but also aspiring to new heights, while continuing to develop and promote the Dusit Hotels and Resorts Thai theme and culture."

The new Dusit Dubai General Manager added that nowhere is this culture more evident than in the hotel's signature restaurant, Benjarong, offering the finest, authentic Royal Thai cuisine, hospitality and warmth.

For that matter, from the beginning a large contingent of staff and employees directly recruited from Thailand served as a guarantee of bringing Thai warmth and hospitality to Dusit Dubai.

All outlets and facilities reflect the Dusit touch, whether it be the Siam Bar, The Lounge, Champagne Bar, California, Function Suites, checking into the hotel for a long relaxing weekend, or spending an evening in Pax Romana, the ultimate in classical Italian fair cuisine.

To promote the Dusit Dubai under his direction, Tiplady will implement an aggressive action plan primarily addressing immediate sales and marketing goals for the best positioning in advance of Conference and High Season business.

"Our main theme will remain that of bringing the 'Best of Thailand to Dubai' in all aspects of operations, including corporate functions, weddings, graduation dinners, dinner dances, exhibitions, seminars or simple intimate dinner celebrations.

"In short, my mission is to propel Dusit Dubai to the forefront of our growing number of customers and future markets, so that when people think of Dubai, they automatically think Dusit and make Dusit Dubai their preferred hotel."
