China Southern Airlines Unveils Chic New Summer 2002 Flight Attendant Uniforms

10 June 2002

China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), the largest airline in The People's Republic of China is pleased to announce that it has unveiled a chic new line of Summer 2002 flight attendant uniforms.

"Chinese traditional clothes, especially Chinese costumes, are always in vogue. Now this fashion wind has blown right into China Southern's in-flight cabin," said Mr. Li Kun, Vice President, China Southern Airlines.

According to Mr. Li, starting in early June, distinctive new summer flight attendant uniforms - colorfully adorned with traditional Chinese styles - will make their debut on China Southern Airlines.

"Not only will the new uniforms follow modern fashion trends but they will also integrate unique "Eastern" characteristics - reflecting the demands of functional airline uniforms while decorating each of China Southern Airlines' modern Airbus and Boeing aircraft," said Mr. Li.

The women's red dress features two upper pouches that are absorbed into the traditional Chinese-style cloth. The design of the collar and cutting reflect the dignity and beauty of the "East" while golden silk in the collar accents each of the eight gold buttons.

All express the vibrant and delicate elegance of modern China.

Mr. Li explained that made from natural materials and man-made silks, each uniform is light and colorful. "The entire flight attendant uniform is fashionable and meets the rigorous duties of flight attendants while expressing the simple charm brought forth by each amiable China Southern in-flight cabin crew member," added Mr. Li.
