SUMMIT DUBAI ATTRACTS ‘NEW ECONOMY’ SERVICE COMPANIES

Summit Dubai e-business conference has attracted three new companies established to service Corporate Middle East in the Internet-driven environment.

Bayt.com, the region’s online recruitment service, Rouse & Co, offering intellectual property right (IPR) consultancy and Vertscape, a Dubai Internet City (DIC) incubator e-business solutions provider will join more than 30 leading names at the event at Dubai’s Emirates Towers Hotel next month (October 2-3 2001).

CEO of Bayt, Rabea Ataya is set to lead a workshop session focusing the rise and benefits of online recruitment providing delegates with tips on how the HR process can optimise the worldwide web for greater efficiency. Ataya also plans to present a live site demonstration.

While, Rouse & Co, who recently added Dubai to its network of offices worldwide, will spotlight intellectual property right in the Summit Dubai B2B exhibition area. Rouse provides a full range of IP services, from the implementation of global investigation and enforcement strategies to the provision of commercial IP advice and documentation, as well as IP filing and management services. It also provides a range of IP related services including research and data protection.

Joining the speaker seminar platform is Vertscape’s chairman, Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Neheyan. Sheikh Khaled, slated as the keynote speaker on day two, is set to highlight the imperatives on e-business implementation.

Vertscape, a winner of the DIC E-biz challenge award and a Dubai Idea Oasis incubator company, is a new-age intelligent e-solution that enables end-to-end e-business for all types of companies. The Vertscape Platform provides a single, set of integrated web based applications and services aimed at seamlessly integrating a company's information and processes.

The trio joins leading names at Summit Dubai 2001, including Dubai Internet City as Summit Dubai patron, Bywater as sponsor and Comtrust as co-sponsor. The event is structured in three parts comprising speaker seminars, B2B showcases and workshops. Other participants include : Accenture, Arab Wide Web, ASP Gulf, CacheFlow, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, ITP Publishing and The Business Channel, among others.
