FAIRMONT DUBAI APPOINTED ‘OFFICIAL’ HOSTED BUYER HOTEL FOR ATM 2002

Luxury new business hotel, Fairmont Dubai, has been announced as the ‘official’ Hosted Buyer hotel for Arabian Travel Market 2002.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, North America’s largest luxury hotel management company, has recently been appointed to manage the 393-room property, which is due to open early next year.

Arabian Travel Market Hosted Buyer Programme 2002, will again focus on buyers from the MICE - Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions - industry and on buyers from Saudi Arabia, two markets which ranked high in a post-show exhibitor survey.

"We were extremely pleased with the success of the 2001 programme and intend to build on this for 2002, bringing 50 MICE industry decision-makers and 20 top Saudi Arabian Tour Operators to ATM," said Lindsey Kavanagh, Marketing Manager, Arabian Travel Market.

The buyers will stay at the luxury, five-star Fairmont Dubai, for the duration of the show and will begin their week by meeting with exhibitors at an appointment setting session on the first day.

Fairmont Dubai, on the emirate’s burgeoning business area near Sheikh Zayed Highway, will have hotel rooms. suites, residential apartments, business facilities, three floors of office space, a world class spa and health club and 12 food and beverage outlets. It is ideal as a conference venue, boasting 35,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, with an elegant 10,000 sq. ft. ball room.

Arabian Travel Market 2002, the eighth in the annual series which is well established as the Middle East’s premier travel and tourism exhibition, will take place from 7-10 May at the state-of-the-art Airport Expo Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
