Air Canada and ANA to Begin Code-Share between Nagoya and Vancouver

Air Canada and All Nippon Airways (ANA) will initiate non-stop code-share service between Nagoya and Vancouver four times a week beginning March 25, 2001. Reservations for the flights are set to commence on March 9.

Building on this momentum, Air Canada will add service between the two cities with five flights a week in April, followed by daily service in May (see table below).

“The start of code-share operations on Nagoya-Vancouver further deepens what has been a successful relationship between ANA and Air Canada across our combined networks,” said Kichisaburo Nomura, President and CEO of All Nippon Airways. “We look forward to supporting increased economic and cultural ties by providing customers with enhanced travel connections and services.”

“We are pleased to extend further the Air Canada network to the customers of our Star Alliance partner, ANA,” said Air Canada President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Milton. “Building on the success of our daily Narita-Toronto service offered in cooperation with ANA, we continue to work together to bring Star Alliance customers the benefits of a simplified travel experience on the world’s most extensive airline network.”

As members of Star Alliance, the airline network for Earth, ANA and Air Canada seek to maximize customer convenience by cooperating to provide improved worldwide connections and the benefits of reciprocal frequent flyer programs and airport lounge club membership privileges.
