EventClicks appoints GM to spearhead new ‘Meetings Solutions’ division

Travel News Asia Date: 6 April 2001

Asia-Pacific’s premier corporate event management company, EventClicks, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Anne Tan as General Manager of the new ‘Meetings Solutions’ division.

With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality and travel industries, Anne was Director of Worldwide Sales – Asia-Pacific for Bass Hotels & Resorts prior to joining EventClicks.

As General Manager of EventClicks’ Meetings Solutions division, Anne’s primary role will be to implement and develop the new service in collaboration with regional hotel groups in Asia-Pacific.

The Meetings Solutions division will offer hotels both an on-line and off-line solution to servicing their meetings and conferences segments. With a response team comprised of skilled and experienced account executives to handle client requests, hotel productivity will increase and service will be improved with the ultimate aim of enhancing the meetings and events business.

“Over the course of the last six months, we have had preliminary discussions with various regional and global hotel chains. We have identified a need in the market to handle the processing of meetings and conference requests. With Meetings Solutions, we intend to fill the void and supply clients with a unique and customised service,” said Annie Fournier, Vice President of Strategic Development for EventClicks.

Annie adds, “We are delighted to have Anne head this new division. With her extensive background in sales and her solid experience in the hospitality industry, she has a thorough knowledge of the needs of both hotels and clients.”

Expected to launch in mid-2001, Meetings Solutions will be developed as a separate division under the EventClicks portfolio of services and solutions for the corporate event industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
