Travel News Asia Date: 5 September 2001

due to technical workers' strike

Finnair is only cancelling four European scheduled flights and one domestic flight due to the Finnair technical workers' association illegal strike beginning tonight at 10pm. All other flights will be operated with as little disruption as possible.

The cancelled flights are the return morning flights to Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Gothenburg and Tallinn as well as the morning flight from Helsinki to Rovaniemi.

We regret any inconvenience to passengers caused by this illegal strike.

Passengers are recommended to check the timetables of their flights on Thursday by either calling Finnair's 24 hour Customer Service at +358 203 140 160 (in English) and +358 203 140 150 (in Swedish), their local Finnair office or travel agent or on the internet at www.finnair.com

Finnair will do its best to book passengers on cancelled flights to other flights.

Unused tickets for cancelled flights will be refunded.
