ADLINA BORHAN NAMED CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF MARCOM FOR MUTIARA HOTELS & RESORTS

Adlina Borhan has been named corporate director - marketing communications for Mutiara Hotels & Resorts, effective 1 April, 2001. Adlina is responsible for management of Mutiara Hotels & Resorts public and media relations, advertising and marketing services.

Reporting to Zarita Noordin, group general manager of PERNAS Hotel Management Sdn Bhd, Adlina a specialist in marketing communications plays a key role in supporting the development and marketing of the brand Mutiara locally and internationally. Her office is located at Mutiara Kuala Lumpur (formerly known as Hilton Kuala Lumpur), in Malaysia.

Adlina most recently served as are public relations manager - Asia for Hilton International, where she served and coordinated the groups' regional public and media relations activities and worked closely with key regional public relations contacts, international media consultants and journalists.

An 18-year veteran of the hotel and travel industry, Adlina is a graduate of Mara Institute of Technology. Adlina's new position will also include strenthening the role of marketing communications under the brand Mutiara Hotels & Resorts, conducting training and familiarisation for the brand's communications team.

Mutiara Hotels & Resorts is managed by PERNAS Hotel Management Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PERNAS International Holdings Berhad. The chain has six properties located in key cities and resorts in Malaysia to include Burau Bay (Langkawi); Johor Bahru (Johor); Kuala Lumpur; Pedu Lake (Kedah); Penang and Taman Negara/National Park (Pahang).
