Travel News Asia Date: 4 September 2001

There has been a lot of talk and anticipation in the market about the opening of Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa’s new outlet “Charlie’s”, and finally it is ready and will be opening it’s doors quietly in the first half of September.

Charlie’s will be aimed at the more discerning of Dubai’s gastronomic clientele, offering an excellent selection of fine wines from around the Globe, tantalising Cuisine and cultured live Jazz.

The design of Charlie’s is based on the opulence of the 1950’s fused with the more contemporary designs of today, every detail has been carefully thought out and selected. Starting with the acoustics of the room design, choice of Angus beef and Canadian lobster on its flamboyant menu, selection of fine wines for the cellar, separate smoking room and bottle bank for the regulars and right down to the selection of crockery and table ware, with no expense spared.

Charlie’s will accommodate up to 80 diners with a pre dinner drinks and bar area, with low lighting and candles accompanied by soulful and uplifting live jazz, Charlie’s will create the perfect atmosphere for that intermit evening, dinner party, corporate dinner or relaxing entertainment.

Mr. Khalid Bin Hadher C.E.O. of Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa said. “Charlie’s will be an excellent addition to the selection of restaurants within the resort; it’s stylish interior cuisine and live jazz will attract a more discerning caliber of clientele”.

Charlie’ will be the 9th restaurant to open at the Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa and the third new outlet with in a year, recent additions being Sho Cho (Japanese) and El Malecon (Cuban).
