Free e-business workshop at DIC

Travel News Asia Date: 31 July 2001

Summit Dubai ‘sneak preview’ given by leading experts

A half-day workshop focusing e-business implementation – the topic of this year’s Summit Dubai 2001 – will take place at Dubai Internet City in August, according to DIC’s Marketing Communication Manager, Hussain Al Mahmoudi

"DIC is supporting Summit Dubai, a key e-business conference, for the second year running."

"The half-day workshop is designed as a sneak preview to the main event and is available to fifty participants on a ‘by invitation only’ basis."

The morning workshop, on August 28, will be led by Summit Dubai’s facilitator, Stephen Cardell of Bywater PLC, one of UK’s leading management consultancies and said to be the most provocative speaker at last year’s Summit.

Cardell will be joined by e-experts from IBM and Accenture, among others, giving workshop participants a sneak preview of the ‘Hype is over; E is here to stay’ debate that is set to take place during October.

"E-business implementation is what this year’s Summit Dubai is all about. It is also what today’s business is all about. Companies that shy away from e-business will die a slow, most likely painful, death," concluded Cardell.

In addition to DIC, Accenture, Bywater and IBM, Summit Dubai has already gained the support of Arab Wide Web, ASP, Gulf, Oracle, ITP Publishing and The Business Channel, among others.

The main forum is scheduled for October 2-3 2001 at Emirates Towers Hotel, and is structured in three parts comprising speaker seminars, B2B showcases and workshops.

Bookings for the DIC sneak preview workshop and the main conference can be made on Summit Dubai’s website : www.summitdubai.com
