CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES APPOINTS NEW GENERAL MANAGER, AUSTRALIA

China Southern Airlines, China's largest and most progressive carrier, has appointed Ms Annie Ye as General Manager Australia, based in Sydney.

Ms Ye was previously China Southern's Deputy General Manager for the Hong Kong Region.

She succeeds Mr Jeff Zhang, who has returned to the airline's head office in Guangzhou (Canton) in the new role of Group General Manager, Cargo.

China Southern Airlines operates three weekly Boeing 777 IGW (Increased Gross Weight) flights from Australia to China - Melbourne-Sydney-Guangzhou twice weekly and Sydney-Guangzhou once.

The aircraft seat 290 passengers in a three-class cabin - 18 in Business Class, 65 in Premium Economy Class and 207 in Economy Class.

All passengers have a personal video screen and a telephone.

China Southern offers connections from Guangzhou to a range of other Chinese destinations, including onward B777 services to Beijing and Shanghai.
