CONTINENTAL AIRLINES LAUNCHES BUSINESS TRAVEL REWARD PROGRAM

Travel News Asia Date: 2 November 2001

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) is making business travel more rewarding with the launch of Businessbonus, an incentive program that awards companies using the Continental Airlines Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) card valuable points redeemable for first class upgrades, free travel and more.

By signing up in Businessbonus, companies receive points for tickets charged to the Continental UATP card for travel on Continental and more than 230 participating airlines and Amtrak.

"With more than 2,500 daily flights, our award-winning OnePass frequent flyer program and industry-leading on-time performance, it's clear why Continental is the preferred choice for business travelers," said Businessbonus program manager Alma Siller. "The Businessbonus program makes business travel even more rewarding and - through the Continental Universal Air Travel Plan - simpler to manage."

Companies that purchase tickets through Continental Airlines can earn up to 100 Businessbonus points for every $1,000.00 in qualifying purchases charged for travel on the Continental UATP card. Twenty Continental currency coupons may be redeemed for as few as 300 points; one-year Presidents Club memberships are available for 1200 points, and one roundtrip ticket to Europe can be purchased for 3200 points. Other rewards include first class upgrades, Silver OnePass Elite status and certificates valid for travel throughout the continental U.S., to Hawaii and to Latin America. Businessbonus points do not expire and are earned in addition to other awards program benefits such as OnePass mileage.

Membership in Businessbonus is simple; companies may retrieve registration forms online via the Business Travel Center at continental.com or through Continental Business Programs at 800-395-4922. Earned points are automatically applied and tracked monthly through the member company's Continental UATP account. The monthly Continental UATP statement includes points earned during the month, points redeemed and the remaining point balance.

Companies that purchase tickets with the Continental UATP card also benefit from consolidated air travel expenses, expanded billing and reporting, flexible online and downloadable reports and statements, comprehensive no-cost insurance benefits, optional electronic billing, and no annual fees and rate charges.

Continental Airlines is the fifth largest airline in the U.S., offering more than 1,900 departures daily to 122 domestic and 89 international destinations. Operating hubs in Newark, Houston, Cleveland and Guam, Continental serves more international cities than any other U.S. carrier, including extensive service throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
