INTER-CONTINENTAL TURNS SPOTLIGHT ON EGYPTS SUMMER HOLIDAY APPEAL

Trio of top hotels give families wide choice of high-value summer breaks

Egypts appeal as a versatile family holiday destination this summer is being highlighted by an attractive range of seasonal offers at the countrys three Inter-Continental hotels.

With substantial discounts on room rates and a number of extra benefits available, families can choose high value summer breaks on the Red sea resort of Hurghada, at the heart of Egypts world-famous monuments, or on the banks of the Nile in Cairo.

Visitors from other Middle East countries can also opt for a two-centre summer holiday, combining relaxation and leisure, and the chance to explore some of the countrys historic sights and landmarks.

Enjoying a spectacular location on the Red Seas west coast, the Hurghada Inter-Continental Resort & Casino is offering summer rates of $42 per person per night in a double room, with single supplements of $20, until September 30.

Guests can take advantage of Hurghadas largest diving centre, with water skiing, wind surfing, and parasailing, while facilities also include tennis and squash courts, billiards, and a fully equipped health club with sauna, jacuzzi and massage.

Night life is electric, with the hotel boasting Hurghadas only casino, a domed discotheque, outdoor dining on five terraces, and live entertainment in four of its restaurants and bars.

At the Pyramids Park Inter-Continental Hotel, a short drive from the Pyramids and the Sphinx, summer rates of $65 per double room per night include complimentary accommodation for children under 12 years sharing their parents room, and 50% discounts on their meals.

Perfectly geared for leisure and relaxation, the hotels extensive resort facilities include clay tennis courts, exercise room, jacuzzi, steam rooms and sauna, and one of the Middle Easts largest swimming pools, set in lush, landscaped gardens and surrounded by palm trees.

At the Semiramis Inter-Continental Cairo, which gives superb views across the Nile to the island of Gezira, single or double standard room rates are $125 throughout August, with single or double superior room at $135, and single or double club floor rooms at $145. In September, rates are $115 for single or double standard rooms, $125 for single or double superior rooms, and $135 for single or double club floor rooms. Special rates are also available until the end of September for each of the hotels 95 luxury suites.
