DRAGONAIR HOLIDAYS LAUNCHES WINTER PACKAGES TO JAPAN

Travel News Asia Date: 29 October 2001

Dragonair Holidays has launched its range of exciting packages to Sendai in Japan for the winter season. Skiing and snowboarding are among the activities available to travellers, along with trips to hot springs and ancient temples.

“Sendai is a destination that has it all – great skiing, great shopping and great food,” said Andy Tung, General Manager, Marketing & Sales. “And it is all less than five hours flying time from Hong Kong.”

It is also the perfect place to enjoy Japanese onsen, or hot springs, which the region has in abundance.

“Winter is a particularly good time to try one of the outdoor springs, especially after a day of skiing or sightseeing,” said Tung.

The Dragonair Holidays Sendai brochure features three tours, with the flexibility to choose from a range of hotels and activity options. Skiing is an easy option, with a choice of two ski grounds featuring a total of 14 runs, and passes covering ski hire, a lift pass and coaching.

"The packages are all inclusive," explained Tung, “covering accommodation, air tickets, transfers and insurance, and great value."

Prices start from as little as HK$4,780, and all packages are available from November 1 to April 30, 2002.

The full list of packages on offer is:

Sendai (4 days/3 nights)

Sendai/Akiu (5 days/4 nights)

Sendai/Oshuku (5 days/4 nights)

Dragonair Holidays, a fully owned subsidiary of Dragonair, has been tailoring superior holiday packages to some of the region's most exotic and interesting destinations for more than 10 years. Over that time, the Dragonair Holidays name has become synonymous with quality, convenience and comfort.
