van der Hoeven leaves The G@llery Evason Singapore

Michel van der Hoeven, the general manager of The G@llery Evason has announced his resignation from the hotel. Van der Hoeven, who successfully opened South East Asia’s first HIP life-style hotel, has been with Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas – the management company of the hotel, for three years.

The hotel, which has already won numerous awards in the short time it is open, has been widely acclaimed as an example of an innovative and creative hospitality experience.

Reasons for his resignation are cited to be personal. Michel will stay on board until a suitable replacement has been identified to ensure a smooth and proper hand over.

Van der Hoeven, in responding to queries on his next position, is keeping his cards close to his chest. He replied that he is currently considering various opportunities but keeping all options open.
