AIR NEW ZEALAND OFFERS COMPANION FARES TO LOS ANGELES IN FIRST AND BUSINESS CLASS

Travel News Asia Date: 26 November 2001

Air New Zealand has introduced special companion fares for First and Business Class travel from Australia to Los Angeles until 24 January 2002.

The First Class deal enables two adults to travel together to Los Angeles from just $5,976 each, while the Business Class companion fare lets two adults travel from $4,218 each - both significant savings off the standard premium fares.

"This offer enables passengers to enjoy the renowned comfort of our international premium classes at a fraction of the standard fare," said Air New Zealand's new Vice President Sales and Distribution Australia, Mr Paul Donovan.

"It is designed to stimulate business in our premium cabins to the US West Coast during the traditional "quiet period" during the Christmas - New Year break," said Mr Donovan.

"These special fares are ideal for those conducting business in America during the Christmas - New Year break, or for couples or friends wanting to travel in style.

"We are confident of a strong response to our offer, which can be booked until 24 January, for departures until that day. Travel must be completed by 31 January 2002."

The First Class deal is available only on flights operated by Air New Zealand's three-class Boeing 747-400 aircraft, while the Business Class special is available on all of the carrier's services.

Travel agents can offer special domestic add-on fares from all major Australian cities to the international gateways from which Air New Zealand departs.

The companion fares can be booked through AFTA or licensed travel agents, or through Air New Zealand on 13 24 76.
