Qantas And Ansett Administrator Unable To Reach Agreement On A320s

Qantas Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Dixon, and Ansett Administrator, Mark Mentha, said today in a joint statement that they were unable to reach agreement on the short-term lease of A320 Ansett aircraft.

Mr Dixon and Mr Mentha said it had simply been too difficult to finalise.

Both parties said the negotiations had been conducted in what was undoubtedly a difficult environment for the world aviation industry.
