Century International Hotels is increasing its presence this year with 6 representatives at ITB 2001 in Berlin

Century will be represented at the following National Tourist Organisation's exhibition stands in Hall 26 at ITB:

- Hong Kong

- Singapore

- Malaysia

- Bali Village

Century actively participate at ATF, Pata Travel Mart, Arabian Travel Market and WTM, however ITB is the biggest travel trade show and vital for the European market. It is the platform to finalise the following years programmes and rates as well as showcasing new products.

Century will be able to offer new products at ITB including innovative properties in Hong Kong and Singapore and a fabulous new full resort in Benoa, Nusa Dua, Bali.

As Century International Hotels moves into 2001, the company's customer message remains in tact. To offer customers, "Comfort and Value" in each hotel combined with their, "You're Welcome" guest service philosophy which is still the trademark of all 19 Century Hotels in Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam and best describes the positioning of the Century brand that will be actively promoted at ITB 2001 in Berlin.

The market opportunity that saw the development of Century initially was the need to develop a chain of well-priced, comfortable and clean hotels throughout Asia-Pacific which would dispense with some of the frills that are found in premium hotels but provide the same basic standards and facilities at a more affordable price due to lower overhead costs. This still stands today and will do beyond 2001 in the region.

The key geographic target markets for Century are Asia-Pacific and UK/Europe where the product has been well received and recognised and where growth is forecast in the shorter term.

The first quarter of 2001 is seeing positive results particularly in Hong Kong and parts of Indonesia and Malaysia and Singapore and we are confident of further pickup in the short-term. We are cautiously optimistic for 2001 despite the sluggish oulook for the important US economy.

ITB is a major platform to promote these new properties to the German speaking and other European markets and we will be pushing these properties.

Further development is planned in the Asia-Pacific region in 2001 and beyond.
