NEW GENERAL MANAGER JOINS HOTEL SEDONA MAKASSAR

Sedona Hotels International has appointed Mr Paul-André Guidat as the new General Manager for Hotel Sedona Makassar, a 230-room deluxe hotel in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Mr Guidat brings with him more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined Sedona after six years with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, where he assumed various roles with the different properties under the group. His responsibilities included managing the Mandarin Oriental Macau Hotel and the Hotel Bela Vista, Macau. He also played a pivotal role as General Manager of the Phuket Yacht Club.

An ardent food lover, Mr Guidat began his food and beverage career in his homeland - Alsace, France. He later managed the food and beverage operations at the Marco Polo Hotel Singapore, Shangri La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Penang and Hotel Conrad in Hong Kong.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Guidat said “I am totally excited with the challenges that await me in my new role. This five-star property is a true beauty in a unique location. I seek to further enhance the operations of the hotel and to continually improve the efficiency in service to our guests.”

Opened in 1997, Hotel Sedona Makassar has been re-awarded a five-star status by the local tourism government in June 2000. Situated along the popular Losari Beach, Hotel Sedona Makassar is located near to the business district and tourist attractions. The waterfront hotel commands an impressive view of the Sulawesi Sea and the famous Makassar sunset.
