HANCOCK GIVEN NEW REGIONAL ROLE BY SIX CONTINENTS HOTELS

Six Continents Hotels has appointed Rob Hancock as vice president brands Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In this new role, Hancock is responsible for developing each of Six Continents Hotels brands within EMEA Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn. Based at the groups EMEA headquarters in Windsor, he will report to Robin Wicks, senior vice president marketing & sales EMEA.

Hancock joins the company from Pillsbury UK, the food division of Diageo where he most recently held the role of commercial director UK, responsible for both Old El Paso and Green Giant. He joined Diageo in 1990 and moved to Pillsbury in Minneapolis, USA in 1995. Prior to this, he held a number of senior sales and marketing roles with a variety of leading food divisions within Diageo.

Reporting to Hancock, and also new to the Six Continents Hotels team, will be Jasma Patel, the new brand director for Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts. Patels career includes a number of marketing and brand management positions with Sainsbury, Gallagher, Tesco and Whitbread.
