NEW ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR GLORIA INTERNATIONAL HOTELS

Travel News Asia Date: 21 November 2001

Gloria International Hotels will soon launch a new advertising campaign, and it promises to bring a breath of fresh air both to the group and to China's hospitality industry.

As a campaign that will serve to differentiate and capitalise on the strengths of the various brands operated by Gloria International Hotels, it will also serve to encourage our staff to rise beyond expectations as we deliver an honourable promise to our guests.

Gloria International Hotels previous advertising campaign consisted a series of images from ancient Chinese folklore and history. Whilst they could be used to analogise successful business strategies, our new advertising campaign presents a more true and accurate statement of what our mission is and what our brands stand for in the hospitality business.

"The onus is on us, to deliver," says Mr Harry Tan, Executive Vice-President of Gloria International Hotels.

"With this new campaign, we have achieved greater synergy and alignment of our image with our group's expansion plans," he adds.

Designed by Dentsu Young and Rubicam, this new campaign uses various images to deliver forward moving notions, as Gloria International Hotels strives to fulfil its promise to guests, and Rise beyond Expectations. Each of the group's three brands will also have its own promise to deliver.

Gloria International Hotels new print campaign is scheduled for launch in select regional publications and the Chinese media, starting December 2001. More in its series of print ads will be unveiled starting January 2002.

Gloria International Hotels is a rapidly expanding regional hotel group with representative offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. The group currently manages ten hotels throughout the People's Republic of China, with Gloria Plaza Hotels in Beijing, Suzhou, Nanchang, Shenyang and Dalian; Gloria Inns in Harbin, Qingdao and Shenyang; Gloria Resort and Cactus Resort in Sanya, Hainan. Its total room inventory to-date is in excess of 3,000 guestrooms all over China, firmly establishing the group as a leading hotel operator in China and one of the top ranking hotel management companies in all Asia.
