PRELIMINARY DECISION NOT TO AUTHORIZE SAS TAKEOVER OF BRAATHENS

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has been informed that the Norwegian Competition Authority has arrived at a preliminary decision not to grant authorization to Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) for its proposed takeover of Oslo-based regional carrier Braathens.

KLM will be studying the authority’s preliminary decision and the consequences this may have for KLM.
