AUDITlink – A DIRECT AID TO IMPROVING REVENUES

Travel News Asia Date: 19 November 2001

The International Air Transport Association and Select Prospects Ltd are pleased to announce the launch of AUDITlink, an outsourced service designed to improve cash flow, speed up the ticket processing cycle and minimise revenue loss. This service comprises two modules to expedite the review of ticket issue accuracy and refund application processing, using the information flows of the IATA Settlement System. AUDITlink builds on a service currently offered by Select which, working with international carriers of all sizes and profiles, recovers, on average, 2% of an airline’s net revenues every month. This solution offers simple, immediate implementation yet allows carriers to retain full control.

The first AUDITlink module is designed to identify all errors in the sales and refund process and generate the necessary adjustment transactions. Select’s help desk is staffed by highly qualified personnel to manage any disputed items. Select provides a consistent, well-documented and impartial resolution process, highly appreciated by both airlines and agents.

The second module addresses refund issues, ensuring correct calculation of refund amounts and producing refund authorities for passengers and agents. Results are produced and delivered within the increasingly stringent deadlines set by regulatory bodies throughout the world, thus reducing the burden on airlines’ already-stretched refund processing departments. Faster refunds will lead to improved standards for agents and their customers.
