EIBTM 2001 EXHIBITORS TO GIVE BUYER PREFERENCES

Travel News Asia Date: 19 February 2001

EIBTM exhibitors are being asked to choose which buyers - and from which regions - they wish to meet and conduct business at the leading incentive, meetings and business travel event, to be held at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland 29-31 May.

Destination stands over 18 square metres, who are eligible for pre-scheduled appointments with groups, are being asked to specify three regions, up to six specific countries and a short profile of the type of buyers they are interested in.

The move is part of a comprehensive and radical move to improve the Hosted Buyer programme, corner stone of the event.

Joy Brabyn, relationship marketing manager said:" We want to ensure that exhibitors have the best possible chance of gaining appointments with key buyers of crucial importance to their business. Those exhibitors who have not returned their Group Pre-scheduled Appointment Application forms should do so immediately."

"This is just one of a number of improvements designed to maximise exhibitor time at EIBTM."

This year exhibitors have also been asked to nominate one buyer for EIBTM Hosted Buyer status for each square metre of stand space. The more clients and prospects exhibitors have nominated, the more pre-scheduled appointments they are likely to get."
