Concorde sells out in three minutes

A special British Airways’ Concorde offer for the New Year period was this morning sold out within three minutes of going on sale.

The Concorde tickets, costing £2002 for a return flight, went on sale at 9am and were sold on a first come first served basis.

A total of 205 tickets were available for departures from London on 30 and 31 December 2001 and returning from New York on 1,2,3 and 4 January 2002.

Martin George, British Airways Director of Marketing said: "We are delighted that this special offer was so well received. We thought it would be great way for our customers to spend the New Year and we hope they all enjoy the unique Concorde experience."
