Lufthansa cancels individual flights to the United States

In view of the current situation Lufthansa is cancelling a total of three flight pairs on transatlantic routes until the end of the winter timetable (30 March 2002).

From Tuesday, 18 September the following services will be suspended (all departure times in local time):

LH 414 Berlin/Tegel-Washington 11:10 (daily except Saturdays)
LH 415 Washington-Berlin/Tegel 17:40 (daily except Fridays)

From Wednesday, 19 September Lufthansa is cancelling these flights:

LH 406 Frankfurt-New York 19:30 (daily)
LH 407 New York-Frankfurt 23:55 (daily)

From Friday, 21 September the following flights will no longer be operated:

LH 416 Frankfurt-Washington 10:45 (daily except Wednesdays and Thursdays)
LH 417 Washington-Frankfurt 16:05 (daily except Wednesdays and Saturdays)

Despite these changes, Lufthansa will continue to serve New York five times daily, with three flights from Frankfurt and one flight from Munich and Dsseldorf respectively. The airline will continue to serve Washington daily from Frankfurt. In addition, Luft-hansa offers further codeshare flights to Washington from Frankfurt and Munich along with its Star Alliance partners.
