INDUSTRY EXPERTS RE-APPOINTED TO HKTA BOARD

Mr Chung Po-yang, JP, Chairman of DHL International (Hong Kong) Ltd, Mr Patrick Yeung, Managing Director Cathay Pacific Holidays Ltd, and Mr Dick Kaufman, Executive Director of DKA (Asia) Ltd have been re-appointed to the Hong Kong Tourist Association (HKTA) Board of Management for a further term of two years, with effect from 1 January 2001 until 31 December 2002.

Mr Chung, a Government appointee, and Mr Yeung and Mr Kaufman, both elected by HKTA Members, joined the HKTA Board on 1 January 1999. Mr Yeung represents Recognised Travel Agents and Mr Kaufman HKTA Ordinary Members.

The re-appointment of these seasoned industry specialists comes at a pivotal time leading up to the reconstitution this year of the 43-year-old organisation as the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), which will no longer operate under a Membership system.

As at 10 January 2001, the Members of the HKTA Board of Management are as follows:
