ANA Suspends Code-share Sales with Ansett Australia due to Ansett suspension

Travel News Asia Date: 14 September 2001

All Nippon Airways (ANA), received notice from its Sydney office and Air New Zealand that operations at Ansett Australia had been suspended.

ANA began code-share operations with Ansett Australia March 28, 1999 on their daily Osaka (Kansai)-Brisbane-Sydney route putting the ANA code on 14 Ansett operated flights per week. As a result of the decision by the voluntary administrator of the airline to cease flight operations, ANA had no choice but to suspend code-share ticket sales with the carrier.

ANA regrets the inconvenience caused to its customers and will undertake appropriate measures to ensure their scheduled travel plans.
