M&C BOOSTS SALES TEAM WITH PROMOTION / NEW APPOINTMENT

Millennium & Copthorne International Limited is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms Cecilia Lim to the position of Regional Director of Sales. It has also welcomed Ms May Lee on board as Assistant Director of Sales.

Cecilia started her career with the organisation 11 years ago in 1990 as Sales Manager, and three years later, worked her way to be Senior Sales Manager, a position held until recently.

She has played a crucial role in building and developing M&C’s business with key travel trade industry players and business partners. In her new capacity as Regional Director of Sales, Cecilia will continue to be responsible for driving outbound business to M&C hotels across Asia, Europe and the US, in addition to having ownership for the major airlines headquartered in these regions. Her primary focus will be on groups and leisure business.

May Lee (newly appointed Assistant Director of Sales)

May possess a strong background in sales. Most recently with Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts prior to joining MCIL, May has had several years of experience with various major hotel chains in Hong Kong.

A graduate from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a 2nd Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, May spent a year and a half in a major hotel in Hong Kong as a Management Trainee. Her training covered all areas of the business including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, public relations, human resources, finance and sales & marketing.

In her new role as Assistant Director of Sales, May will be responsible for managing the major corporate and consortia accounts in both Singapore/South East Asia and Hong Kong. Her close working relationship with the hotels and sales offices in the region, as well as in Europe and the U.S., will ensure a coordinated business development approach.
