GREEN LEAF HOTEL "SAVE MONEY...SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT"

Korn Thapparangsri, Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister presided over the 2nd Green Leaf Certificate Presentation which Phuket Arcadia Resort Hotel represented by Resident Manager, Supachai Ubolthani has been awarded 4 Green Leaves for its saving money and environment at ESCAP, United Nations Convention Center.

Green Leaf program has been founded to encourage hotels and businesses in tourism industry to be aware of environment protection and preservation. The award ranges from one up to 5 leaves with "5" reflecting the highest level of environmental efficiency. The audit process is conducted every 2 years.

The Certificate Committee was founded by Board of Environment Promotion of Tourism Activities (BEPTA) which consists of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thai Hotel Association (THA), United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Demand Side Management Office of Electricity Generateing Authority of Thailand (DSM of EGAT), Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) and Association for the Development of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
