SriLankan Airlines partners with Avis in Dubai

Travel News Asia 8 November 2004

Avis Rent a Car has been appointed to provide limousine transfer services for business class passengers flying out of the United Arab Emirates on SriLankan Airlines.

The ISO:9001-certified car rental operator already works with SriLankan’s sister airline Emirates, and the new limousine service emphasises the synergies between the two carriers, according to chief executive officer Peter Hill.

“We are delighted to have Avis on board as one of our partners,” he said. “The company has a reputation for providing a quality operation, an ambition that dovetails with the premium we place on service at SriLankan,” he added.

“Our business class passengers expect the very best facilities and comforts, from the latest seat technology to fast track check-in, and with this new limousine service, they will now start their journeys with the promise of an efficient airport transfer.”

SriLankan Airlines’ business class service includes check-in at the Emirates’ premium departures hall at Dubai International Airport, with its rapid customs and emigration facilities, plus use of the Dubai-based carrier’s lounge.
