KLM increases Fuel Surcharge on Long Haul Flights

Travel News Asia 8 October 2004

In response to soaring fuel prices, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is to increase its fuel surcharge by EUR 7 per stretch on its long-haul flights.

The airline stated that this increase, imposed on tickets issued as of October 11, 2004, will be withdrawn as soon as the barrel price drops below USD 40 for 30 consecutive days.

KLM's surcharge of EUR 13 per stretch for the European network remains unchanged.
