Finnair adds frequency to Vilnius

Travel News Asia 28 July 2004

Finnair, in co-operation with Lithuanian Airlines (LAL), is increasing the number of frequencies between the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius and Helsinki. Starting 16 August, a third daily code share flight will be operated with LAL's Saab 2000 aircraft between the two cities. The departure time for the new frequency from Helsinki is 4.20 pm and 2.20 pm from Vilnius.

"We have upped the number of daily flights from two to three thanks to increased demand. The three daily flights also give more flexibility to our customers' travel plans," says Director, Commercial Partnerships Mikko Komi from Finnair's Alliances and International Relations Department.

Lithuanian Airlines (LAL), the national carrier of the Republic of Lithuania, was founded on 20 September 1991 and is fully state-owned. The principal activity of Lithuanian Airlines is carriage of passengers and cargo on scheduled and charter flights. The company also provides ground handling services at Vilnius International Airport as well as aircraft maintenance services.
