Thailand sets up Website to Search for Phuket Victims

Travel News Asia 28 December 2004

In an attempt to answer peoples requests for more information concerning missing friends or relatives in and around Phuket, Thailand has established a new website that went live Tuesday afternoon.

The website, www.phuketitcity.com, is in English and Thai, and allows concerned parties to search for people by name or nationality, with results indicating whether that person is safe, injured, missing or unknown etc. The website also has a list of useful emergency telephone numbers.

Please note that the website mentioned above, www.phuketitcity.com, is live and active but we have witnessed and received reports that it is not working. We can only presume this is due to the sheer number of people accessing the site. If it does not work when you try the site, bookmark the page, click refresh but do keep trying. Best of luck.
