Rod Robson to leave Business Travel International

Travel News Asia 25 August 2004

Business Travel International (BTI) commercial head and Australian Board Director Rod Robson is to leave the fast-growing organisation after seven years.

Robson joined BTI in 1997 soon after its formation and has since overseen a five-fold increase in attributed sales volume.

Prior to joining BTI, he spent 26 years with Qantas and four years with Ansett in senior executive positions in Australia and overseas.

“BTI has developed a mature business platform and is performing well,” said Robson, “I am seeking a new professional challenge, and with BTI in such good shape the timing is perfect to make a change.”

“I intend to remain within the travel industry, and am exploring an equity position in my next role.”

Robson will depart BTI on 1 October 2004.
