Marriott
has named Amy McPherson executive vice president of sales and marketing. She is responsible for the
company’s global sales efforts, marketing, revenue management, worldwide reservation sales and e-commerce.
Joining Marriott in 1986, Ms. McPherson most recently served as senior vice president of global revenue management and
reservation sales. In this capacity, she directed worldwide activities related to pricing and selling strategies, inventory
management and systems development, as well as reservations at Marriott’s customer contact centers around the world. Other
key positions held by Ms. McPherson include senior vice president of business transformation and integration, where she
developed the strategic business plan for ExecuStay, Marriott’s corporate housing brand, and vice president of finance and
business development.
Prior to joining Marriott, McPherson worked for Air Products & Chemicals in Allentown, Penn. She is a graduate of James
Madison University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and economics, as well as a master’s degree from
the College of William & Mary.
