KLM to introduce Fuel Surcharge

Travel News Asia 17 May 2004

Effective May 19, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is imposing an extra surcharge worldwide of EUR 4 per leg (a one-way journey from Madrid to Tokyo via Amsterdam is two legs).

The airline stated that exceptional and structurally high fuel prices have made this move unavoidable. The surcharge applies to all KLM flights worldwide.
