Travel News Asia 16 December 2004

Delta is to launch a new daily service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Chennai (Madras), India, with a stop at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International Airport. The new service is expected to begin May 9, 2005.

“Customers in the United States and France now have direct access to one of the fastest growing service and technology centers in India," said Doug Blissit, vice president-Network Planning. "This new flight gives our customers in India more choices for international travel via two significant gateways – Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York-JFK. These cities offer travelers hundreds of convenient connections to destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the United States.”

The new service will use Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
