Malaysian PM officially opens Hilton Kuala Lumpur

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi recently opened the 35-storey Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

A delighted Mr Kees Hartzuiker, General Manager of the Hilton Kuala Lumpur said, “We opened our doors just 70 days ago and already we have achieved record business levels thanks to numerous international meetings and countless social gatherings. Meanwhile, our restaurants already seem to be an inseparable part of KL’s society. The first month saw occupancy rates around 50 percent and a return on profits. This is almost unheard of in hotel openings.”

Hilton Kuala Lumpur has 510 guest rooms and one of the largest Ballrooms in Malaysia for meetings up to 1,500 guests. In addition, it offers ten F&B outlets with 13 kitchens to cater to the banquet and in-house needs. Studio, is a new concept which groups seven themed restaurants and bars in a dedicated area.
