Traders Hotel, Dubai introduces Executive Team

The recently opened Traders Hotel, Dubai has announced its executive management team. At the helm with over 40 years experience in the Hotel Industry, 20 of which were with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, is General Manager, Wolf-Dieter Flecker. His hotel career stems from a traditional European hotel school education and working up through the ranks in Food and Beverage. His first General Manager posting was with Holiday Inn in Swaziland at the age of 27.

Traders Hotel, Dubai represents the eighth opening or refurbishment project undertaken by Wolf Flecker since joining the Shangri-La Group.

Mr Steven Foo, Executive Assistant Manager i/c Rooms. Mr Foo brings with him more than 10 years experience with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in China. Prior to this he was based in Singapore at The Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza. With a strong rooms background gained through 'on the job' experience and training supported by more recent studies at Cornell University, Foo has strength in yield management and leads a team of 90 staff.

Ms Anny Tan, Director of Sales & Marketing. Ms Anny Tan's career with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts dates back to 1995 when she joined Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang and Golden Sands Resorts, Penang. Prior to this she was employed by Pan Pacific Singapore where she gained valuable operations experience in Banquets and Conferencing, Front Office, Executive Club and Food and Beverage. Ms Tan leads a team of 15 Sales & Marketing staff overseeing Events, Reservations, Sales, Marketing and Communications.

Mr Ruby Wirjono, Finance Manager. Prior to his appointment at Traders Hotel, Dubai as part of the pre-opening team, Mr Wirjono was employed by the Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta for five years. He has a strong background in accountancy and auditing, stemming from a career history which began in the private sector. This foundation is supported with experience in the hospitality industry including senior accounting positions with other international five-star hotel brands.
