Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, Dubai completes Club refinement programme

Travel News Asia 10 September 2004

The award-winning Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa has completed a refinement programme of its Club building.

The programme focused on the refurbishment of all the bedrooms in the Club building, the Club lounge as well as the Mi Vida and Seabreeze restaurants.

Pam Wilby, the hotel’s general manager, said: “Since gaining the Royal status four years ago, it has been our aim to complement and constantly evolve all areas in the hotel to meet the deluxe tier standards, from our spa, restaurants and leisure facilities to the rooms themselves.

“Le Royal branding demands the highest quality throughout the facilities, and we also need to keep one step ahead of our competitors.

“This is especially true as we celebrate our Decade of Excellence: we were the first hotel on the Jumeirah Beach strip, and we will keep improving the facilities and service offering year on year.”

The project was scheduled for the resort’s quieter period and did not have any impact on the hotel’s summer targets.

Wilby explained: “We have a number of exciting ideas on the drawing board for next year, which have come as a direct response to feedback from both our guests and UAE residents.

“Next year, with the opening of our sister property Grosvenor House, West Marina Beach, Dubai, our guests will have access to 13 new restaurants and bars. These developments across both properties will play an important part in our positioning as a premier luxury leisure destination.”
