Hôtel Le Walt in Paris opens to Full House

Travel News Asia 9 September 2003

Rooms adorned with oil paintings by local artists, personalized handmade furniture from Italy and the touch of old world hospitality thrilled fashion house guests.

"The first day the hotel opened, the hotel was completely sold out", commented Julien Revah, the Front Office Manager of the Hôtel Le Walt, which opened last Friday, 5 September.

"The hotel was filled with business men and women from various American fashion houses. People in the fashion business are very artistic" says Revah, "they were excited about the various original paintings, the hand crafted furniture. Many guests were also pleased to find their rooms provided an online free of charge internet system."

"The word that we were open seemed to spread quickly," continued Julien. When we opened in the morning the hotel was partially reserved. By afternoon, the phone was ringing off the hook and we were receiving telephone calls from travel agents in Italy and Germany congratulating us on the opening of our hotel and requesting same day bookings for their clients flying into Paris. Other agents were calling with direct bookings from as far away as Canada."
