Travel News Asia 31 October 2003

United Airlines and Air China today announced the implementation of their recently announced marketing alliance with the introduction of new codeshare flights to and from China.

Customers will also receive one boarding pass upon check-in for each segment of their flight. Codeshare flights are available for sale today for flights on or after October 31, 2003.

Air China customers now have expanded access to all flight segments operated by United, including its Beijing - Chicago OHare - Washington Dulles route and its Shanghai - San Francisco - Chicago OHare route. In addition, the United Airlines code will now be added to all Air China flights from Beijing to Los Angeles, New York JFK and San Francisco. Additional codeshare flights will be announced over the coming months.

Customers traveling on itineraries utilizing both United and Air China should check their travel documents to determine the operating carrier and terminal for their flight when traveling. They will be provided boarding passes upon check-in for each part of their journey when checking in with either airline. For questions on policies and procedures, customers should check with the operating carrier.
