Qatar Airways, one of the world's fastest growing airlines, has moved into
Munich Airport's new Terminal 2. The new terminal is exclusively dedicated
to Lufthansa and its partners, including Qatar Airways. The Qatari flag-carrier
flies non-stop to Munich from Doha thrice weekly.
Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Airways: "With the move to
the new terminal, we are offering a sophisticated service to our guests that,
together with our ambitious level of performance, will meet the expectations
of travellers choosing a premium carrier like Qatar Airways."
Munich Airport (FMG) and Lufthansa have agreed to share entrepreneurial
responsibility for financing and operating the new terminal. The cooperation
was formalised under a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 1998. |
