SITE International Delegation Expected at IT&CMA 2003

Travel News Asia 1 August 2003

Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) is set to be an important focal event on the calendars of travel associations such as Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE) International. Besides participation at IT&CMA, SITE International has taken the opportunity to hold auxiliary regional meeting with its Asian Chapters in Bangkok.

The SITE International delegation expected at IT&CMA will be led by Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer Brenda Anderson. Joining Anderson in representing SITE and the SITE Foundation will be Paul Flackett, Managing Director of IMEX.

During the delegation’s time in Bangkok, Anderson and Flackett will lead a special meeting for SITE chapters in the Asia-Pacific region on 3 November 2003. This includes SITE Chapters from Australia/New Zealand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. This would be the first meeting of this nature and size in Asia for SITE International and its Asian Chapters.

“Asia-Pacific is a strong and important part of the global incentives community and we are excited to meet face-to-face with the many SITE members from this part of the world,” Anderson said. “Participating in IT&CMA is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase what SITE does and expand our universe of business contacts.”

Currently SITE has nearly 2,000 members in 81 countries, with 28 local and regional chapters. Members represent airlines, cruise lines, corporate users, destination management companies, ground transportation companies, hotels and resorts, incentive houses, official tourist organizations, trade publications, travel agencies and supporting organizations such as restaurants and visitors attractions.

In addition, at the IT&CMA Conference, Anderson will present “The Truth Triangle in Life and Business” – an educational session that teaches participants how to align their actions and words in an effort to create harmony within their lives.

Darren Ng, Managing Director, TTG Asia Media says, “IT&CMA has always been an excellent platform to meet up with business associates and colleagues from around the world. We are pleased that SITE International has found such an excellent opportunity at this year’s IT&CMA to cater to a broader agenda. With more associations organising regional events in association with IT&CMA, IT&CMA will be etched even deeper into their minds and their calendars.”
