Dragonair offers great deals to China

Travel News Asia 18 June 2003

Dragonair has joined with 13 Hong Kong agents to offer its most attractive package tour offer ever to 12 China mainland destinations. Prices for the four-day, three-night packages start from as little as HK$999.

"This is probably our most attractive tour package offer ever, as well as our biggest," said Dragonair's General Manager, Marketing & Sales, Andy Tung.  "I don't think any other airline has joined with so many agents, which shows the level of commitment in the industry to getting the travel sector back on its feet."

The offer is part of the airline's Flightpath to Recovery programme, which aims to help boost economic activity following the SARS outbreak. The airline has launched a range of offers to attract travellers since the lifting of  the World Health Organisation travel advisory on Hong Kong.

The latest offer raises the curtain on the first tours to the mainland from Hong Kong since the SARS crisis broke.

"We are also aiming to get travel to our most important market moving again, and this should help build up the momentum," Mr. Tung said.

To take advantage of the offer, travellers must book with any of the 13 partner agents between June 20-22. Tours departing in July to any of the cities - Beijing, Chengdu, Fuzhou, Guilin, Hangzhou, Kunming, Nanjing, Ningbo, Sanya, Shanghai, Qingdao and Xiamen - will cost HK$999, exclusive of  any applicable taxes and charges. Tours for travel taking place in August cost HK$1,199.
