COVID19: Korean Air Expands Temperature Checks
to All Flights Departing Incheon
|
Korean Air has confirmed that it now conducts
passenger temperature checks for all international flights
departing from Incheon, South Korea.
The airline will conduct temperature checks at the
boarding gates of all international flights at Incheon
International Airport using thermal imaging cameras and handheld
thermometers.
Passengers with a temperature higher
than 37.5 degrees, which is one of the symptoms of COVID19, will
be denied boarding.
Korean Air says that it will use a total of eight thermal
imaging cameras to check the temperature of all passengers
departing from Incheon.
The airline is also disinfecting the cabin
of flights departing from Incheon to the US and those arriving to
Incheon from China with MD-125 chemicals, which is known as one of
the most effective sterilization products to eliminate
coronavirus.
Korean Air has also shortened the disinfection
cycle of all aircraft to 7 days from once a month, which is
required by law.
